There are various bridge and ferry options available once you’re in Denmark. While many of Norway's highlights can be seen from a train window or by bus, renting a car opens up a whole new set of opportunities. The tiny fjord-side village of Geiranger gets top points for dramatic positioning, although as a popular destination for day-trippers, cruise ships and holiday-makers, it’s probably the busiest place we encounter outside of Norway’s cities.
